A New Look

I am thrilled beyond measure to unveil the new look of Chaos Is Bliss!

For those that have been around for a while, you’re returning to see a whole new look for my little space of the internet. 

In fact, this is my 2nd redesign – and WOW has Chaos Is Bliss come a long way!

Here’s what it looked like back in 2011, a year after I first launched my blog:

Redesign #1

Then in 2015 I said goodbye to my first logo and design, and to the niche I started in, which was considered deal blogging. I started to pay attention to where my readers were coming from, and what they were going toward, which was not “coupons that would expire at the end of the month”.

Instead, they came for recipes. And some articles I wrote on family fun. And family travel. 

So my first redesign was a big one:

The next few years brought significantly more lifestyle content, and almost all of my posts sharing how to save money are sprinkled throughout my guest segments on Indy’s B105.7 Radio, which I have been contributing to since 2011! 

Fast Forward

Last year I started thinking it was time for a(nother) new look, something a little more current, lots of white space, more imagery and less words on my home page. I worked with a designer who has a 6-month lead time (she’s that good!), and I sent her lots of examples of the look I was going for.

I picked out a color scheme:

and knew my brand – while changing in look, would never change in spirit.

Chaos Is Bliss is my baby, and she’s here to stay. It’s worth the investment when you pour it into something you love.
