You may have come to Chaos Is Bliss from a post I shared on Facebook, a recipe I pinned, from hearing me on Indianapolis radio or by seeing a tweet or two.

What you may not realize is that I actually only spend a few hours each week writing for Chaos Is Bliss, as my time is also spent working with clients on marketing, event planning and social media.

Yes, I am a mom, and yes, I blog. But I am not a “mommy blogger”. {shudder}

I earned an M.B.A. from Butler University, with a focus in Marketing, and a B.A. in Communication from Purdue University. Before starting Chaos Is Bliss, I worked for 10 years in marketing and media in the Indianapolis area. As a small business owner myself, I know the blood, sweat and tears you put forth every day to make your business successful.

But maybe you could use some help.

Marketing directors in large companies, and owners of small local businesses, share this goal:

They know the importance of the minutiae of marketing their brand, but can’t afford the resources from their own staff to get it done.

That’s where I come in.

What I can do for your business:

• Digital content creation. Does your company’s website have a blog that could use a regular contributor for? I am available for short- or long-term freelance writing projects.
• Social media. Your presence – or lack of presence – on social media sends a message. Have you ever visited a website, found social media icons, and upon clicking – found their Twitter account doesn’t exist? Or their last Facebook post was in June 2014? Having a regular presence on social media, increasing your number of meaningful followers and sharing relevant content for your readers, is critical.
• Advertising consultation. I have worked on all sides of the advertising/public relations table: selling radio advertising as a career, purchasing radio and print advertising for clients, and even securing and preparing for news interviews. I can use this experience to help you plan your marketing and media mix, as well as represent you to media agencies.
• Event planning. If you’re in the central Indiana area and have an event you could use help planning, promoting and implementing, I can work with you from concept to completion. And by tapping into the amazing network of bloggers I work with every day, your event can make a splash across all social mediums.
